Under the patronage of the president of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Mohannad Jawad Kazim, and under the supervision of the dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, assistant professor Dr. Ali Abdullah al-Kanani.
The Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Basra – women's affairs unit in cooperation with the Department of Plastic Arts organized an attendance workshop entitled hand made painting on glass.
The workshop aims to learn about the methods of painting on glass, the materials and tools used, and the method of drawing to apply them according to the rules to turn any ordinary piece of glass into an artistic painting.
The seminar was presented by A.M.Dr. Oras Jabbar Sahim and M.D. Asra Fakher and M.Ms. Khadija Shukri Faisal, the official of the women's Affairs Unit at the College, explained and made models about the art of painting on glass .. It is considered one of the ancient arts that was used to add a distinctive luster to glass in addition to being one of the forms of Fine Arts and was considered by some to express internal ideas or to establish the joy and beauty of the place, as it is a talent that has origins and basics like other arts.
